| A magazine the
quality of PARIS! may be an anomaly in a small, rural town, but
thanks to the individuals below, it’s published five times a
year by Nellen/Jones Public Relations. These professionals, many
of whom are volunteers, provide direction, editorial and /or
photographic content for each issue.
Susan Jones,
Editor and Publisher
Susan Jones is a
native Henry Countian, a graduate of
the University of Tennessee in
Knoxville, a former educator and
local business owner. She delights
in promoting her home county through
PARIS! magazine, which was
co-founded with her business
partner, Art Nellen.
Kim Martin,
Associate Editor
A Peyton Manning
Scholar at the University of
Tennessee in Knoxville, Kim Martin
is a former intern with Nellen/Jones
PR. After graduation, Kim returned
home to West Tennessee to take a
position at Bethel College in
McKenzie where she directs
Institutional Research.

Our Town - Jennifer WheatleyAs
director of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of
Commerce, Jennifer Wheatley is always in the loop.
Jennifer highlights the county’s business, tourism,
retiree and industry segments for PARIS! Arts
and Entertainment -
Arthur Lodge
Arthur Lodge enjoys
discovering and taking advantage of the arts and
entertainment offerings in the area. Lodge is a
retired Presbyterian minister, a model car
collector, a heart recipient, and a very funny man,
with a unique perspective on life.

Divas - Dan TownsendDan
Townsend is a Henry Countian who teaches Automotive
Technology at the Tennessee Technology Center’s
McKenzie campus. It’s rumored that Dan has forgotten
more about automotive repair than most people will
ever know.
In the
Garden - John Watkins
This
department is written by landscape designer and
Certified Grounds Manager John Watkins. With each
issue, Watkins brings his special brand of humor and
expertise to all of the garden lovers who call Zone
6 home.
School of Thought -
Dawn Poole,
Dr. Norma Gerrell
This
department focuses on schools in the Henry County
School System (HCSS) and Paris Special School
District (PSSD). Contributors Dawn Poole, HCSS
Service Learning Coordinator and Dr. Norma Gerrell,
PSSD Supervisor of Instruction co-produce this
column that keeps readers up to date with what’s new
in classrooms across the county. Paris
Cuisine
Lisa Ciarrocchi and husband, Roggero, own Paris
Winery. An amazing cook and baker, Lisa has plenty
of mouth watering recipes to share. She also enjoys
gathering delicious ideas from Henry County cooks
and using them in her column. |

a variety of writers. It was introduced by Paris
native Elise Write who penned a piece entitled
"Paradise Found on Boundbrook Drive." Upcoming
articles will be historical features about Henry

Pat Terrell
Department editor Pat Terrell is a
registered nurse who lives and works in Paris. He is
one of the best at turning medical jargon into
laymen’s terms as he shares need-to-know information
with his readers.
Spotlight
This department is dedicated to
those who make a difference in Henry County. They
may be movers and shakers or quiet achievers, but
their common bond is helping friends and neighbors
in their community. It is created by a variety of
writers.

Julie Perry
Julie
Perry is a lover of family, pets, cooking, music and
small but beautiful touches. In short, Julie enjoys
everything that goes into creating a welcoming home

McFarlin
Shannon McFarlin graduated from
Murray State University with a
degree in public history and she
hasn’t looked back. McFarlin is a
prolific writer who has seen to it
that hundreds of Henry County’s best

Lisa
Green Walking into Lisa Green’s studio in
downtown Puryear, Tennessee, is an experience like
no other. Behind the turn of the century storefront
is a mix of creative genius, cutting edge technology
and a passion for our county’s past. Since the
spring of 2004, Lisa has supported the magazine by
providing many of our most popular covers.
Dr.
Eugene Gulish
When he’s not replacing hips and
knees, Gene Gulish enjoys photographing nature in
his backyard and around the world. His fine work can
be viewed throughout his office, at local
photography exhibits and on several covers of PARIS!
magazine. Ann

Gengler A self described computer geek, Al
worked in the Tampa Tribune's Information Services
Department. After a liver transplant, he and his
wife, Judy retired to Puryear, Tennessee. The couple
enjoys the outdoors, where Al takes some of his most
inspiring photographs, several of which have graced
the cover of PARIS!. Jean
Owens
A native Henry Countian, history buff
and enthusiastic photographer, Jean enjoys recording
local events and activities through her lens. Many
of her shots can be seen in Faces and Places,
however, this March, her work will grace the cover
of PARIS! in the Spring.
Mike
WilsonPerhaps one of the county’s
most prolific and generous amateur photographers,
Mike’s works appears on a number of local web sites.
When traveling, he never fails to bring home
promotional ideas for his community via his photos.
